This is probably the most iconic thing to do nearby. The hike is moderately challenging but the summit views are worth it! The route is 4-miles round trip, taking ~3-4 hours to complete with panoramic views at the top. The trailhead is located off Chambers Road via Forest Service Road 323, a 15 minute drive from Yonah Mountain Vineyards.
This is easily one of the prettiest waterfall hikes in North Georgia. The trail follows a creek through the forest and ends at a dramatic waterfall split through a cliff. It's a great option for those wanting an easier scenic outing. The route is 5.1 mile, out and back taking ~3-4 hours to complete. The trail head is located at 3000 Richard Russell Hwy, Helen, GA, ~30 minutes away from Yonah Mountain Vineyards.
Helen is a Bavarian-style mountain town about 15 minutes from Yonah Mountain Vineyards. You can walk around the alpine-style downtown, grab drinks, shop, go zip lining on the Chattahoochee, or just enjoy the atmosphere.
